JC Kite School is located inside the Garoda Resort. The spot is located right on the beach.
The flat and low water makes this spot perfect for both beginners and expert freestyle lovers. The spot is characterized by a tidal excursion that satisfies everyone’s needs: at high tide the sea has higher water and larger and cleaner waves that form on the reef, suitable for surfing with a surfboard. At low tide however, the water is flat and low, perfect for learning and for freestyle.
We offer a team of experienced and qualified instructors managed by Italian Pro Kiter Champion Jacopo Cantini.
The winter season runs from December to March, while the summer season from July to September. In both periods the percentage of wind is very high, only the direction changes: in December side-on from the left while in August from the right.
Courses for all levels
Basic lessons for beginners, advanced or freestyle lessons for the more experienced and also foil lessons. You will always be accompanied by an expert instructor who, with the use of radios and a safety boat, will guide you step by step until you reach your learning goals. During the lessons you will be equipped with all the new DUOTONE 2020/2021 equipment already insured.
The price starting from 480 Euros for 8 hours for beginners, includes all the necessary accessories (jacket, helmet with radio, lycra or wetsuit, harness) and the equipment insurance.
Other services available: Tandem Kite tour, sunrise surfing sessions, sunrise dolphin watching and fishing tours, downwind trips and safaris.
How to get there?
The arrival airport is Mombasa (2h 15min to Watamu) or Malindi Airport (40mins drive to Watamu)
The most recommended airlines are: Meridiana with direct flight (7h 30min) Turkish with a stopover in Istanbul (11h approx) Ethiopian with a stopover in Addis Ababa (two 23 kg hold suitcases are already included in the ticket, if the luggage does not exceed the weight and length of 150cm (size of the kite bag).
From Mombasa Airport – € 140 per car / € 200 per minivan.
From Malindi Airport – € 70 per car / € 100 per minivan.
