About our kite spot at Keros Beach

Keros Bay is a wide, enclosed bay with a long sandy beach on the eastern shore of Limnos. The shape of the bay keeps conditions relatively controlled, which makes it a reliable place to learn. The first 50 to 100 metres of water are waist-deep with a flat, sandy bottom. No coral, no sea urchins, no booties required. Further out, the conditions open up, with bump and jump in the middle sections and waves at the outer ends of the bay. Beginners, freeriders and advanced riders all find something that works for them here.

Our kitesurfing season in Limnos

The main season runs from June through to November. North and north-east winds blow consistently through the summer, mostly thermal in the afternoon, typically between 10 and 24 knots. Daytime temperatures sit between 24°C and 32°C, the water is warm, and the weather is mostly sunny with very little rain. It’s a long season and a reliable one.

Kitesurfing lessons we provide

Our kitesurfing lessons follow IKO methodology, the safety framework is solid, and the course adapts to you rather than the other way around. We don’t push you through a fixed programme. The goal is for you to finish capable of going out independently and safely, however many hours that takes. Groups are capped at two students per instructor. One-on-one coaching is also available. Beginner and intermediate courses cover everything from equipment setup and wind theory through to body dragging, water starts and riding upwind. Advanced coaching focuses on freestyle and tricks, with our specialists guiding you on that progression.

We also run wingfoil lessons at all levels. Beginner wingfoil courses run from 1 to 10 hours, covering wind theory, equipment handling, getting up on the board and first flights. Advanced sessions are tailored to your goals: freestyle or wave riding, private or semi-private. All wingfoil courses use current Duotone gear. Instruction is available in English, German, Czech, French and Bulgarian.

All students get waterproof intercom headsets so the instructor stays with you in real time across the whole bay. A rescue service is on-site too.

The crew

Our instructors are IKO and VDWS-certified, and we offer instruction in English, German, Czech, French, and Bulgarian.

Our equipment

We run the full 2025 Duotone lineup: kites, twintips, wings and foils, suited to every level and body type. Boards are from Fanatic. ION accessories, wetsuits and impact vests are available in the shop, along with zinc sunscreen and aftersun products for the Aegean sun.

Duotone Pro Centre has proper storage just 10 metres from the water, changing rooms, showers, WiFi and a chill-out area in front. Gear repairs are also available on-site.

Our accommodation

We recommend Aphrodite Stone Apartments in Mikro Fanaraki, a 20-minute drive from the centre. It’s a stone apartment complex right by the sea, comfortable and well set up for guests who want to relax between sessions.

No-wind activities

Limnos has more going on than most people expect. Sand surfing on the dunes, beach volleyball, hiking up to the Myrina castle for views across the island, horse riding, and good food everywhere. We keep a map of the best spots on the island and are happy to share it.

Great location, top equipment, and wonderful team. I spend almost 2 months in Lemnos last summer, with most of the days going to Duotone pro center. I can say that compared to all other kite and surf spots on the island, this has the best people, attitude, and equipment. The teachers are TOP! My both kids had lessons there - kite and wing, and I can confirm that everyone is professional and all safety measures are strictly followed. They would always help anyone that needs support, even if he/she is coming from another spot ot just trying to learn by himself. You can enjoy DPC even if you are not a surfer and just waiting for your friends or kids, as it is almost right at the waterfront, with great view, cosy relaxing area, and very friendly staff. I am definitely going there again this summer. I made friends there, and it feels like my “home” spot! I highly recommend it!

This is the favorite spot of the whole family. ❤️There are great surf coaches with an incredible attitude towards children. My son is learning to kite and the coaches made him even more ambitious. They are very nice and the place is super cozy and peaceful. As for the beach itself, I can only say that it is paradise!

The experience i had in this place is unforgettable. The equipment is the best and the coaches are very proffesional. I was with the coach named Emile and he was very nice, kind and did his job very thoroughly and professionally. Overall the place, the people, and the experience were amazing! I would definitely visit this place again with my friend Adi who is also very happy with the time we had there!

I'll start with the positive. Very nice girls at reception and a great kite instructor from France. Cedric left the spot last week. Top material is available from Duotone. Unfortunately, there is no good atmosphere at the spot, which is otherwise so typical for kite sports. One reason for this is the boss with his whistle and little flexibility. I also miss a friendly greeting from other kite students. The good atmosphere can be found at KBC and Flamingo, Aliki Beach.
