Kite & Explore Mauritius – Tout korek ? (all good? In Mauritian Kreol)
this event was born because of a common Passion for kiteboarding and the unique feeling that it can provide… in and out of the water.
- More than a Passion… It’s a Lifestyle!
- It’s chasing the wind… Traveling!
- It’s discovering New Spots & New People around planet Earth.
Kitesurfing and exploring Mauritius was an easy choice for the camp.
You choose your maximum stay from 1 to 18 days.
The windy season in Mauritius is between June and November.
A lot of people really enjoy the month of October because it is a transition period between Winter and Summer : good wind and temperatures that are being warmer.
October is the best time to visit the island for warmer and drier weather… In fact,it is generally the month with the least rain, especially along the west coast where sunny weather is almost guaranteed.
Average high temperature in Mauritius is 27ºC in October, with things cooling to a pleasant 20ºC at night on the coast. The sea temperature varies between 22 & 24ºC at this period.
Wind stats…
Dominant wind is from South East (SE) and usually very constant… Possibility of having also East wind which makes the wind more gusty and unstable on the spot in Le Morne… Which can be an opportunity for us to discover other spots without any wind shadow.
Average wind speed between 12 to 25 knts. Approx 70 to 80% average wind at this period.
